2007 Annual Report on Minority Lending

The 2007 Annual Report on Minority Lending compiled and released by Compliance Technologies and Genworth Financial is based on Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data for 2004-2006. The report analyzes the change in new minority homebuying in the U.S. states and territories for 2006 over 2005 and compares it to those for whites. The report also analyzed the rate of subprime lending within the minority and white populations. New homebuying refers to new mortgage originations which includes first liens and refinanced loans.

AREAA/UCLA Revisits Asian American Home Buying Trends With Update of Historic Study

Data presented at Wells Fargo housing symposium shows Asian American home ownership on rise, but still lags overall population

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 14, 2007) - The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) and the UCLA Asian American Studies Center today released the first update to their historic and in-depth 2006 study of demographic trends related to home buying within the fast-growing Asian American consumer market.
