2026 3-POINT POLICY PLAN

POLICY POINT #1
LANGUAGE ACCESS POLICY POINT

Bill: Language Access For All Act

Language barriers are costing AANHPI borrowers homeownership opportunities. Research shows they face higher mortgage denial rates despite similar credit profiles to White peers a disparity worsened by the recent removal of HUD's translation resources. AREAA is pushing Congress to pass the Language Access for All Act and restore equitable access for all communities.

POLICY POINT #2
HOUSING SUPPLY POLICY POINT

Bills: Housing for the 21st Century Act & More Homes on the Market Act

America is short 4 5 million housing units, and AANHPI communities in high-cost metros are bearing the brunt. Since homeownership is the primary engine of wealth building, AREAA supports bipartisan legislation using regulatory and tax incentives to unlock more market-rate housing supply

POLICY POINT #3
ALIEN LAND LAWS

Bill: Preemption of Real Property Discrimination Act

Discriminatory laws restricting property ownership by national origin are making a dangerous comeback. AANHPI homeowners build a median of $180,000 in wealth within 5 years of ownership and $500,000 by 20 years alien land laws rob immigrant families of that future. AREAA supports the Preemption of Real Property Discrimination Act to end this once and for all.
