LuAnn graduated with a degree in speech pathology and audiology from CSU Sacramento and went on to do graduate work at the University of Arizona in Speech and Hearing Science. She decided to continue her studies at universities in Japan and Brazil. While living in Japan and Brazil, she spent many years teaching English to all ages and abilities, from preschool to company employees. Her favorite teaching positions were at the university level, as she could develop a real bond with the students and watch them develop over the course of a semester.
