LaRay Hampton is an North Carolina Broker-Associate, a South Carolina and California licensed Realtor®, a business sales strategist and consultant, and a mentor and coach. She weaves together diverse cultural experiences and leadership wisdom in her work throughout the Greater Charlotte Region. First licensed in real estate in 2001, LaRay's path from Los Angeles to Sierra Leone, to Philadelphia, and the San Francisco Bay Area, college in San Diego, through a public relations career in Silicon Valley’s tech industry, and a 15-year stint in hospitality management eventually led her to the vibrant communities of the Carolinas and has enriched her perspective on what home truly means across different places and cultures.
She is a business coach and visionary, supporting others to achieve more than they dreamed possible. Throughout her career, LaRay has and continues to mentor emerging leaders, particularly focused on creating pathways for underrepresented groups to leadership positions. She works with aspiring real estate professionals to get their licenses and begin their career journey.
Through her real estate company, Buy List Love Carolina, LLC, powered by EXP Realty, LaRay practices residential real estate sales, specializing in providing a concierge, full-service experience. She also shares her expertise in home staging and strategic digital marketing. Through her volume of home sales of over $1,000,000, she has earned the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing’s Prestigious Guild Certification.
LaRay's passion for community building shines through her dedicated work with the Canopy Realtor® Association's Diversity Inclusion and Equity Committee, the Canopy Housing Foundation, and as a board member for AREAA Charlotte Metro, where she champions cross-cultural understanding, political advocacy, and accessibility in housing. She is a past president of the Contra Costa Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors® and worked as a life transformation coach for New ERA Center for 10 years. Over the years, she has worked with non-profits like Kaboom!, Habitat for Humanity, and Rebuilding Together to help improve the quality of life for families and communities.
Her thoughtful leadership style emphasizes building genuine connections and honoring each person's unique journey. When not serving her community, LaRay supports Charlotte's cultural arts as a Middle C and Mint Museum annual member and a Blumenthal season ticket holder. Her proudest accomplishments are raising her children, nurturing meaningful connections with friends, and being a devoted wife. She is honored to serve as the 2025 President of the AREAA Charlotte Metro Chapter.
