Doug Sutherland is a founding board member of the AREAA Charlotte Metro Chapter. He is a Commercial Real Estate Broker, MBA and a CCIM Candidate. He is serving in his fifth year with the organization and has represented the chapter in Washington, D.C., at the annual policy summit.
Doug, a CCIM candidate, is a commercial real estate broker at his company, Dunrobin Sutherland, an affiliate of Lake Norman Realty. Although Doug is primarily engaged in commercial real estate sales and leasing, he also has a background in residential real estate sales and is a banking “veteran.”
Doug earned an MBA in Finance, with an emphasis in Real Estate, from the University of North Carolina Charlotte’s Belk School of Business and is licensed to sell real estate in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
Doug serves as a board member with Carolina Business Capital, SBA/CDC, and is a member of the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association, the National Association of Realtors, the Carolinas Multiple Listing Service, and the North Carolina Association of Realtors. He has also served as a member of the Charlotte's Region Commercial Board of Realtors.
He has been active in the community for years, coaching youth sports. Doug is a passionate advocate of platelet and whole blood donation through the American Red Cross. He has lived in the Charlotte Region’s Lake Norman area with his family for nearly 30 years and loves the people, the climate, the communities, and the history.
