An agent since 2002 and a broker associate since 2014, Melissa never planned to be in real estate, even though her mother was a REALTOR®. But since the day she became her mom’s buyer’s agent, she has been rolling out the red carpet for her clients. Melissa provides the kind of service that makes people question whether they’ve ever really had service before. She’s a firebrand with big dreams who inspires her clients to go after their own. Her obsession with personalized, innovative service; talent for marketing; industry leadership; and tech savvy has earned her many awards, including the San Diego Association of REALTORS® Real Estate Circle of Excellence Award for five years and the 40 Under 40 Award for two. Melissa founded The Avenue Home Collective in 2015 to be a home base for other like-minded agents. Avenue agents believe the impossible is always possible and work hard to make that true for their clients. The Avenue Home Collective was nominated the BEST Brokerage in San Diego by the Union-Tribune in 2018, 2019, and 2020; and Melissa was nominated BEST real estate agent in 2019 and 2020. All accolades aside, what really sets Melissa apart is that she deeply cares about human beings and the planet. She has channeled her appreciation for “vitamin sea” into a corporate sponsorship of the Surfrider Foundation to ensure that future generations can enjoy California’s beaches as much as she does. Additionally, she serves as vice president for the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), where she helped create a $10,000 homeowner grant for first-time buying families. Melissa also works hard for her clients and her family. She’s happily married to her high school sweetheart and is a powerhouse mom determined that her four children learn that they’re limitless. Also passionate about teaching other mom bosses how to have it all, she created The Mompreneur Meetup and Momcation so that working mothers could come together to uplift each other and recharge.
